Was playing a bit tonight and in popped dynamic. Prompted me to stop by their website. Apparently BF2 is making a resurgence at CAL. They're bitching about a lack of a good follow-up to BF2 so they figured fuck it, reopen the 8vs8.

I turned my settings way up to high everything and full 8 AA. After playing on low for so long it was quite a shock...Really is still a pretty game. Found the hit detection better too.

It may be time to schedule another BF42/BF2 nostalgia night.

I'ma reinstall this week. Maybe we can play some on Friday...if Cathy doesn't get her drunk on.

I'll make her stick with the Busch Light this week.

Found a fast attack server. It's pretty tits.

No way I could do the scrims and practice and shit anymore. Work schedule is too fucked up, working weekends all the time.

Still my favorite memory when I went ballistic with an T90 on a round of Gulf, kept screaming at everyone to stay back and not get killed, and took out 8 of their guys to finish off the round.

It's been so long now since I played it, I'd probably be shiite.

BTW, BF Heroes sucks. Got into the Beta, played it for maybe two weeks...shit got old fast. Zero of the BF we loved in it. Tanks are shiite, planes are even bigger shiite. You CANT. FUCKING. SELECT. THE. SPAWN. POINT. If you want to spawn at your main to get a tank or plane, guess what buddy, you're shit outta luck!

I think we're all in the same boat brother. It was a blast but being able to commit to a set time is next to impossible. Getting old sucks.

It's kind of a good thing we're getting old an movie on. The tide has turned, and we're gonna be flooded by games for non-gamers from now on.

There's upside, though. I got so bored with gaming, I found myself anew hobby!

You can download this beta patch for Battlefield 2 and test it on selected beta servers only. The patch adds Vista support, removes CD check, adds Widescreen resolutions, and launches Operation Blue Pearl.

GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
- Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched.
- AA targeting tweaked to make it more effective.
- Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".
- Various changes made to prevent cheating.
- Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model
- Increased the time to go prone after jumping from 0.3 seconds to 0.7 seconds
- Fixed G36E HUD during sprinting to match other weapons.

Yeah got sent a beta key for BF:Heroes, no urge to play it though...

Yeah, I got the Beta key in my email still. Haven't bothered to DL the game though.
