I'm pretty proud of my loaf. Now I need to improve on it...

I made some hellafine hand-made Bavarian soft pretzels while I was in canadia. We enjoyed them with a fine Marzen and various mustards. Mmmmm. Kneading dough is very therapeutic, too.

You did knead that dough by hand?

No, but it ended up being too long for my pizza stone, so I bent it. I'm a dipshit, I could have just cut it in half, really.

IRT Dick: kneaded by my strong, yet smooth, manly, flour-covered hands, yes. Those hands many ladies go to sleep dreaming about... what am I saying, many, I meant all. :VP:

Man it's pretty good. I hear bread flour makes it even better, apparently it's got more gluten. And it needs more sugar I think for the yeast to be even more potent. Yeah!!! Tiny bit more salt and I can open my bakery / crêpes joint!

Had to spend a year living with my parents when I was 27 which was hell after leaving home when I as 13...even if it was for school. still returning home was shitty a lot of the time BUT Dad makes bread every two days in one of those bread machines. Not as good as kneading yourself true but still waking up to the smell of fresh bread permeating the house is one of those small pleasures you forget. Am impressed with the baking skills Choda!

Yeah, bread machines are not the same. But I guess they could help with the kneading!
