Yep. It'll work. I'll add another flight of 4x163s, a flight of 4x190s (of some variety); Two flights of 4xB-29s, and a flight of 4xP-51s.

I was pleased to find the 163s were in fact fuel-limited on this mish. That's the way they should be. The 163s should be looking to abort to an alternate field.

The only things still missing are mission objectives. I'll add those tomorrow if the overall mish is deemed playable.

Do it right. P-51D. Those Mustang Mk IIIs are P-51s after the Brits got their grubby mitts on them.

You shouldn't be in the air much more than 8 or so minutes with those 163's. You can one or two good passes at a bomber formation before you have to bug out.

P-51s like Dickie wanted, and targets assigned to the interceptors and counterinterceptors. That way the Bf-109s don't hawk all the Komets' kills with their awesome Mk-108 gunpods.

Don't forget to go ballistic. Get above the atmosphere ASAP so you can glide in as far as possible, saving fuel for attack runs. Let's prove Slade wrong, even though our Komets have the advantage of full throttleability over their historical counterparts, which, IIRC, had binary engines, either on or off. Although, being hypergolic, I think the historical Komets could do the on/off cycle as often as they wanted. Mechanical Stamina notwithstanding.

You mightn't be so far off the truth. She totally saw through whatever lame excuse I gave for not being available last Friday; and then my internets, after being IL2 broked on Friday, were totally broken all weekend. I thought my TrendMicro had loaded a bum update, because suddenly it was blocking everything from IE and Firefox to Notepad. A long sequence this morning of the various combinations of router, modem, and computer reboots finally solved it.

The upside is that I'm gonna be available Fridays again. She gets Fridays with her girlfriends, and I get Fridays with my, um, boyfriends. She's apparently noticed something that, in 33 years, I never have: I'm ravenous on Saturdays, uninterested on Fridays.
