Up to date phots of the current plants.
Have brought them in to give them a bit more heat. I want the current fruits to ripen nicely, then i can harvest the lot and prepare the plants for winter.

The Numex Twilight is the most visually impressive imo, also the hottest of the lot, they FIRE!
I think everyone here should have one of these before they die.

Was tied to the rail on the balcony, obviously grew towards the sun, im trying to face it the other way now in order to balance it out.

I love how the fruit just drips out of this one, they ripen to yellow/orange.

Krakatoa. The most prolific fruiter, it just drips out of the plant before your eyes. They ripen to red. Great cooking chilli as they are medium hot, can adjust the heat easily, whearas the purple ones at top you can only use one or two, they fire.

The plant with the purple fruits is just gorgeous. I would look for one to use as an ornamental with benefits, but I live with a ravenous herbivore. He might not touch the peppers, but the plant would have a hard time keeping its leaves.

Id totally recommend getting one, has been easy peasy to look after, boosted by the awesome summer we have had here.
Maybe put it on a windowsill out of reach of the Quince?
Not sure of the climate where you are, but the British summer is fine for them outdoors, indoors before the first frost.

Eddie would fuck up those plants up no worries. He'd chew em up and spit out the pieces.

I'm about to take a few cuttings off Eddie. I'm currently trying to sell Son of Eddies for £15 each. No takers as yet despite his legendary status.

I dunno what he is. Some sort of ivy type thing. He trails at the moment but he can climb if you give him summat to climb. Grew him from a tiny cutting in a milk bottle about 15 years ago and he now trails about 4 or 5 feet to the ground in a mass of jumbled foliage.

He's also complete indestructable. He goes a bit droopy if you forget to water him but he keeps on truckin'

This is good, considering how many times you've tried to kill him.

Yeah well that's the thing - It's kinda like having a pet tiger or king cobra - It's nice but you have to remember that they can attack and kill you at any moment. Most of my "attacks" on Eddie were infact self-defence.

I think the question is more along the lines of "do you keep Eddie, or does Eddie keep you?"

Eddie allows me to keep him. For now.

Right, this box im gonna make (see pic above for idea), it needs a little ventilation. A PC fan will do it and I have a couple of 120mm case fans here.

Am still puzzled as to how to power the fan(s). Id usually plug them into a computer motherboard or power unit.
I know I can pick up a small transformer or even use a cell phone charger or a small battery (battery appeals!).

But how do they hook up? how do I connect power source to fan?

Cut off the connectors and rewire into different connectors?

Any ideas?

I wonder if you could cut the terminals off and solder them to some kind of battery pack. Would 1.5v be enough, or would you need 9v?

Fuck, I dunno even if you limey people have the same batteries we do.

Im thinking with abasic 9v (or maybe larger) i could just cut the end off the wires and wrap the bear ends onto the battery, i would have no qualms doing that and may try tonight.

Not too keen plugging a cell phone charger into the wall and switching it on with my bodge job.

Might be easier to plonk down a quid or two to get summat like this, then solder the leads from the fan...

I dont have solder, people at chicks work will i reckon. I would be just weaving the wires together and covering with insulation tape though i reckon.

If i use a charger, would it matter which wire was attatched to which?
