[CAT] Scratching Post

Went down the road to some chilli fiesta, was a lot bigger and better than I expected. Came home the proud owner of 3 diff chilli plants.
Greenhouses were particularly impressive, didnt take enough pics. There were loads of carnivorous plants and shit.




















Locally brewed cider was like a wasp magnet, when i drank something else they all pissed off.

Those purple ones look interesting. I wonder what kind of heat they pack.

Im liking the idea of having a small fruit bearing tree. It grows really quickly, they look cool, there is variety, and i dig on eating them.
They seem easy enough to look after, need some bigger pots though.

So im gonna have a read on the subject, mainly looking after them but also identifying them, their features and the cooking aspect.
Id usually trawl the net a bit but I fancy adding a book to my shelf.

Any suggestions?

Have to harvest a few as we just repotted them, so these bad boys are going in a butternut squash soup this week.
Gonna plant a few seeds aswell.



Here are the plants we grabbed.

At Warpaths command ive just munched one of those yellow ones, not hot at all, more like capsicum bell peppers.
They are supposed to get hotter the longer they are on the plant, maybe my next harvest will blow my balls off?

Actually, 20 mins later i still have a little burnage going on around my lips.

What kind of peppers were they? Surely you can look them up and see their Scoville rating?

red ones are 'Krakatoa' Heat rating 7
Yellow ones are Cheyenne, rated 8
Purple ones are Numex twilight rated 8.
Little red ones dont have a rating on the tag Capsicum chezno.

Do you not know what a Scoville unit is?

Rating a 7 on some wankster's non-standard scale means nowt.
