I liked FF2 better than FF3. I can't seem to get more than 10 or so addresses to stay in the history that drops down from the address bar. They're not even the most recent sites I've been to that are stored there.

You use the history drop-down? Why not just use the History or Bookmark sidebar?

Sidebars fail, in my opinion. Some people find them handy, but I find that they make my screen feel cluttered. I'm such a freak...I'm pretty messy but I HATE having clutter on my screen or desktop.

You know I'm referring to the one under View, correct? It adds maybe an inch and a half to the side of your window. And if you have a 22 inch WS, what fucking clutter are you on about?

Was playing on Chrome the other day. I still prefer FF3. Anyone else using Open Office? Can't beat the price....

I don't have a history option under "view." I have a whole lot of useless stuff like "space" and "divider," but no history.

lol, in FF3, the history is under history. bookmarks under bookmarks.

For me, I find the bookmark toolbar useful and not too cluttery. And I only have a 17 inch monitor.

in regards to chrome, gonna wait a minute on it. I dunno if i could browse without adblock on, and I don't think they have an option like that yet in chrome. Supposed to be simplistic and all.

IRT Tgrant: i used to use it a bit, but it is such a pain with some of the formatting issues when other people open up your files. You can find microsoft office for the right price too.

What version are you on? I click "View", then go down to "Sidebar" and it slides open to reveal the choices of "Bookmarks" or "History". I don't have "space" or "divider" on mine.

Did you dl Firefox from a Czech website?

IRT: Open office, yeps, using with great pleasure.

IRT: Chromooggle, everything is turned around indeed; and my conservative nature still loves FF3, Comma, even us elderly's must adapt the new.

Life is hard and you cannot have it all.

IRT Slade: I didn't even see the sidebar option. I was going to toolbars.

IRT Vadar

Even the Google folk admit this is just a beta with many issues to still resolve and features to add, but maybe in the coming months they will flesh it out into a full-fledged browser. However, it is unlikely to hurt the other browsers although it may push them to adopt Chrome features they lack (not that there are that many).

It's just another step in Google's "one app to rule them all" plan.
