Still love the Barracuda's, when they go on I can't hear shit of outside noise...gets me in shit with the wife. I tried a few USB powered headsets and they all hissed like a mother.

Highly recommend, best ive had, best ive known, Console fag dont realise what i get when i play.

As I said, i havent tweaked it all up and it sounds ok. But they are the same headset with diff power and some more connectivity options.
That headset fucking rocks.

Are they on-the-ears or over-the-ears headsets? I dunno if I trust on-the-ear 'phones.

Over the ears nice and tightly with a fat pad that makes a proper seal.

They all set up now and they kick ass, they are not as complicated as they look. Half the wires are for attaching another input device like an XBox or DVD, and also attaching another output, like 5.1 speakers. So you can flip from playing PC at night with your headphones, to playing XBox in the day with your speakers. Two buttons, done.

They are more than loud enough with music going, i couldnt sit and listen to full blast. Cant spot a diff between these and my old pair (same headset) and I never had a hiss in the first place.

Faggot seal of approval, best ive had. The ones below (USB vers) were fine also, but if you wanna steer clear of any whistle, then spend the extra tenner.

Decided against it. Given the current climate at work (ie we could all be out of a job any minute now) I've put off the new car, the 50D and the Medusas + soundcard.

Yeah I had a quick do on my flatmates ones. Sounded good. They needed a bit more bass IMO but he'd only just plugged em in and hadn't messed with teh settings yet.

With mine you can control each speaker independently...I'm sure those are the same. Just turn the bass up.

There are settings for each speaker in the wire. I tend to leave all that steady and fiddle with the soundcard settings. Those cans plus an X-Fi, coming in my ears.
