Life (BBC Nature show)

Postby Wunderschlung on Tue Oct 27, 2009 11:42 am

Yet again the masters stun us with excellence.

This particular series is blowing me away regarding the filming, how the hell do they get these shots?
Ill find a decent link to illustrate what i mean, but you have a mouse getting chased by a spider or something, as the mouse flees they have about 10 different camera angles under the ground its running. WTF? You cant stage this shit, barely predict it, and yet you have nature doing its thing as if Steven Spielberg scripted it.
How do they do that?

This clip is pretty cool, although it doesnt illustrate the crazy camera work.
At the end of the show there was a 10min 'making of' bit. The camera work was pretty standard, the main thing was the crew were shitting themselves as god damn dragons are eating something bigger than several humans! Run away you morons!!

Right, this is what i mean, how the hell do they get these shots?

Check the amazingly awesome frog rock.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRaGZnnepSA

How did they get the frog and spider to meet just like that at the precipice of the rock?
Did you see the background on the footage?
Then as the frog does its impression of an avalanche they have around 6 different angles of it on its way down......and they are waiting for it to crawl away from its fucking DZ!!

Incredible!
Im calling hax.

I think its on like episode 3 now Spanders, dunno when, but its brand new.

Sorry about the copyright, didnt realise non-limeys could not view.
Will loosen up once its been around a bit.
TV companies the World over salivate over the BBCs best stuff, so the US will get the same show but narrated by someone who isnt a legend.

I pretty much only use TL nowadays. I tend to get a lot of stuff DL'd for me. We exchange a lot of USB sticks at work.

TL's sister site Pussytorrents fulfills any porn needs I have. Which aren't what they were!
