Apparently someone has really convinced her that she's president-material. I don't know if it's just sad, or downright scary...

You gotta think they'd throw Bobby Jindal out there in 2012, unless they really want to look like a complete joke.

I think they'd still look like a joke with him, especially following that performance he gave after the state of the union. Though if he does run, i'm sure we'll be seeing a bit of kenneth the page too.

Well, who else do they have? They know they can't throw a well-known neocon out there in the post-Bush era. Hell, Bubbles the Chimp isn't doing much these days, and he might be more viable than any current Repug currently out there.

Unless they come up with their own Obama who goes from totally unknown to President in just under 4 years.

A lot of the GOP talking heads have all but said that Palin just committed career suicide. How do you run for the office of President after spending 3 1/2 years out of elected office? Especially when your resignation makes you look like someone who's running away from pressure.

But she's not doing the "politics as usual" thing. :lulz:

You'd really be surprised at how many people are eating up her BS. I posed that very same question, about her running from pressure, over at hickbored. I was told it was a "small time comment." lol. then the women are all behind her saying its the media's fault for all this.

I guarantee you she does this, goes away for a couple years, makes a big splash in her return and the GOP will be all over her again. I hope so, because all it takes is a little pressure and she cracks quite nicely. :yay:

the GOP is pretty much fucked for a good while methinks. At least until they realize you can't just pander to the bible thumpers and win.

I love how little sense stupid people make. If it's "just a small-time commitment" then how do we know she's ready for the big time?

Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

small time comment on my part, according to the guy. :lulz:

pretty much in awe that i would make such a comment about people not having faith in her should she run for president in the future.

They took offense to what everyone should really be asking themselves. :freak:

 Anybody who thinks she'll ever attain high office is insane, especially in this current political climate. I actually hope she is the nominee in 2012 because that would be a sure victory for Obama. Independant voters dont like her, democrats hate her, only the most hard core of the conservative base would actually get her vote. Being from Alaska doesnt help much, either. Being able to secure 2 electoral votes from your home state doesnt amount to much.

It really comes down to how much of a fucking disaster the repugs got themselves into when they achieved near total power status. Americans have seen the direction those tards were taking the country in, and they finally woke the hell up.

My prediction: It'll be like the power swing that happened after the Vietnam war, with americans voting left for awhile, then gradually swinging back once the liberals appear too weak on foriegn policy. By 2014 I think the ball will be back in the repugs court, though with a much more tame social agenda then they shovel up now.

Yet my mother in law emails me shit about how Al Gore house is an energy hog while Dubya's vacation home is greener than a hippie's tent in the woods. She sucks... I quote her: "I found this very interesting". My answer was just: "I didn't".

Anderson Cooper talks with her spokeswoman. I thought palin's speech was a lot of hot air and no substance...she somehow out does that.

fun quote from another board, which sums it up pretty well:

I love how they're trying to pass this off as "you all just don't 'get it'". It's like trying to bluff in poker, but you don't have any cards...
