The cool thing is that I'm working with former colleagues I used to work with in Paris, so it's going to be fun going out with them again. Mucho beer and wine, fondue restaurants and dinners on the Zurichsee... I'm going to have a hard time.

That to me or Choda? I'll presume me anyway. Doing headhunting in the lifesciences industry. Basically creating business at pharmaceutical companies and finding the right people to fill the vacancies. Normally PhD chaps earning £100-200k a year. Looks kinda fun!

Good thing I came back, I had started to replace food with beer. But I experienced Oktoberfest, kickass!!

Now return to Earth, I went straight from the airport to the ER: Antoine has the H1N1, the novel one, and he's sick as a dog...

I'm the "overly worried" kind of father, you see... that shit scares me to death. He hit 40.5°C this afternoon... granted, that was when the fever medication was wearing off, but still, it's pretty hot.

Then the washer went to shit, I had to take it apart (but it works now).

One of jinksT's coworkers was among the early panickers about H1N1. He's been tested several times. She got a message while we were out yesterday that he's got it and to be vigilant. I think it only effects the paranoid.

You might be on to something there... except Antoine's immune system is shite, he picks up anything that goes around. Been like that since his birth. And then when he gets it he barfs - Linda Blair-style. Duck and cover!!

I am taking no precautions whatsoever. I more than likely have been exposed to it several times already; there have been many cases in my area, numerous kids at the day care have been sick (including both my own) and some of the other staffers.

I have never had a flu shot.

So far...so good.

Pretty sure I have been exposed to it too. coworker was sick for about a week or so, then his kid finally got sick. so they take the kid in right away and were told he had h1n1. Just glad the asshole kept working for a week while sick and risking his coworkers health too.

It's the damn flu. All the hype is utter crap. It's no more deadly than the regular seasonal flu. People need to get over themselves, and their fears.
At all times a small segment of the population will engage in reckless behavior regardless of how many laws are on the books.
