Aw, come on, Zoolander is classic! But I guess it's not that recent. I still like him though.

Downey is probably the only actor who managed to recover from sneaking in bed with children. Not sure how he managed to, but he did. :freak:
Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more cowbell!

Zoolander was a bit shit actually.

I kind liked the Meet the Parents ones. Dodgeball was quite funny too.

I'll take Jerry Stiller as Frank Costanza over Ben stiller as anybody.

Netflix has made Dexter available to instant/xbox subscribers. I really have no excuse anymore.

Well, it was my excuse when it came to downloading gigs and gigs of Dexter. Now all I have to do is add it to my instant queue and turn on my xbox. If I'm too lazy for that, I may as well just put a plastic bag over my head and snuff it.

Oh word, they have Weeds and The IT Crowd, too.

OMG OMG OMG THEY HAVE RED FUCKING DWARF! :butt: :yay: 8 seasons worth!!!

Red Dwarf was must-see TV back in the day. Dunno how well it's aged though cos I've not seen any for about 15 years.

Red Dwarf is a comedy aboard a spacecraft, yes. Calling it sci-fi is like calling Star Trek a "military drama."

Netflix added it to their instant service. I can just call it up from my xbox.

I watched the first episode of Dexter. About 20 minutes in, I was bored enough to want to turn it off, but forced myself to keep going and see if there was something worthwhile. There wasn't. I can't decide if I want to waste another hour to see if the 2nd ep is any better.

Don't. Just get The Wire.

I just can't get excited about a crime show. The world is fucking broken and depressing. I don't want to spend my free time watching shows that remind me of this fact.

I think I just have to accept the fact that staring at television is not for me.

Most TV shows aren't going to catch you in the first episode. You might find this as a fault, but the first couple episodes of most shows, dramas especially, have to set the characters and story up. It isn't until you get into the first story arc that it will hook you if it does. And if not, then you know the show wasn't for you.

I'd say you should be willing to watch 4-6 episodes before you write one off, otherwise you're going to end up not liking any of them you even bother to watch.

An example for me is heros, i've tried to watch it a few times now, but can't get through the first episode. But I'm not about to totally write off the show because the first episode didn't catch my eye. Some day i'll get through it and prolly end up enjoying the show.
