Keith Flloyd is a fucking pioneer.
I remember my dad liked him back in the day, but i didnt care for bullshit cooking.
Now i watch his bits on saturday kitchen and can see that he totally preceded all the gastrofags on TV, his spiel was entertaining, genuinely interested and he does it slap bang in the town square of parma or somewhere! Getting sloshed as he goes.

If I'm gonna watch a food/culture show, it's gotta feature Anthony Bourdain. He may be the only decent New Yorker, ever.

What, no one likes Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern?

That show actually wouldn't be bad if Andrew Zimmern wasn't such a closeted cockgobbler. He was wearing a pink fannypack in one episode, and I'm supposed to believe he's married to a woman?

Nigella is the devil in disguise. Her food adds inches to your waistline just by smelling it. It's no wonder her husband had to go on some extreme diet in order to not be considered livestock.

The Hairy Bikers and Rick Stein are brilliant. Hairy Bikers mostly 'cos the last time I saw them they got a whole pig, rubbed salt crystals and rosemary and thyme into its skin, then chucked it in the barbie. Fucking brilliant.

Funny you mention that, considering hardly an episode goes by where he doesn't eat testicles of some sort.

Speaking of which, cultures worldwide seem to love eating testes and in some cases penis (snake penis in Vietnam for example), but I have yet to see a show where the host is offered a piping hot plate of grilled vagina, or uterus stuffed and baked with three cheeses. No fajita-style shredded labia.

Why is that?
