Spent the past couple days changing diapers drinking beer and watching all of season 3 of Dexter. Top notch. 5 episodes into season 4. Trinity killer is going down.

No spoilers for Season 4 please.

If you're a fan Span I'll only say this...it's pretty f'ing good so far.

Anyone give me a brief review on dexter?
Ive heard a few people say its ace, may download the lot, but ive no idea what its about.

It's about a serial killer, who essentially only kills those who have killed. Each season pits him against a different foe who are normally pretty gruesome murderers. It's just really well acted and the plots are pretty damn good. As Dick has said before, Michael C Hall self-reflects a bit too often in the opening episodes and it can get irritating. Make it past that though and it's brilliant.

Also of note the serial killer who kills killers is a blood spatter guru who works in forensics for the Miami PD (AH HA! that's why Dick doesn't like it...it takes place in Flor!da).

The books are worth a look too. The character of Dexter is a lot darker and the bad guy in the 2nd book (or it might be the 3rd) is so unbelievably horrible that there's no way they could have transferred him to the screen. So they didn't. Ma Spandex reads an inordinate amount of true crime and crime fiction and the bad guy in the 2nd Dexter book gave her nightmares.
